Antonio Lima, Statewide Manager for Emerging Adult Services at the Massachusetts Probation Service, has been appointed as a member of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Board of Trustees.
Lima brings a wealth of experience in public service, community leadership and law to his new role on Bristol’s Board of Trustees. With a diverse academic background, Lima earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth; his Master of Science in Comparative Politics and International Relations from Northeastern University and his Juris Doctor degree from Southern New England School of Law (Now University of Massachusetts School of Law), equipping him with a deep understanding of both local and global landscapes.
Antonio Lima is an experienced senior-level probation officer with an extensive background in probation services, including delinquency prevention/control, education, investigation and more. He is recognized for building strong working relationships within the community and his dedication to reforming the judicial system for future generations.
Lima’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom. He has served in several influential roles, including as a board member of the Immigrant Assistant Center, where he has advocated for the rights and services of immigrant communities. His dedication to the Cape Verdean community, where he has been a prominent leader, serving in organizations such as Common Threads and the R.I. Heritage Cape Verdean Subcommittee, showcases his commitment to cultural enrichment and community development.
With his extensive experience in public service, law and deep-rooted community ties, Lima is poised to make valuable contributions to the growth and success of Bristol Community College.
