We met in the Oak Room at a mixer during Mary’s orientation week in September 1971. Karol was on the orientation committee (he was class of 1974, therefore one year senior to Mary). We were married by Father Frederick Kelly in the Loyola Chapel on the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ University campus on June 19, 1976. We both received our medical degrees from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. We are the first StagMates to become physicians and, back in the 1980s, the magazine Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Now did a feature story on us. We have two grown children and our daughter, Lauren, a senior finance manager, is a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ University Class of 2012 graduate and works in Stamford, CT. Our son and daughter-in-law, both attorneys, work in Los Angeles. We are now retired and split our time between Florida and Connecticut.
