University Merit Scholarships

Undergraduate Merit Scholarships

All students admitted to �鶹��ý��Ƶ��վ are automatically considered for a merit scholarship, regardless of whether they have completed an application for financial aid. Eligibility for a merit scholarship is determined after a thorough review of all aspects of a student's application, including their overall academic record, strength of their academic program, and their extra-curricular involvement.

In keeping with the University’s holistic review of applications, there are no minimum grades or standardized test scores required for merit scholarship consideration. Merit scholarships range from $18,000 to $30,000.

Graduate Merit Scholarships

�鶹��ý��Ƶ��վ University offers three distinct merit-based scholarships to recognize and support exceptional graduate students. Scholarships are competitive and awarded to applicants who embody �鶹��ý��Ƶ��վ’s commitment to academic excellence. Applicants will be automatically considered for graduate merit awards and notified if selected at the time of admission.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours per semester and maintain a GPA of 3.00 to renew and continue receiving the scholarship until graduation.

Three levels of University merit scholarship are available:

Magis Scholarship is named using the Latin word for "more" or "to a greater degree," a key element of Ignatian spirituality. It is an expression of aspiration and inspiration, and the Magis Scholarship is our most prestigious scholarship. It is awarded annually to a maximum of five incoming students, one for each of our five graduate schools. This award provides $3,000 per semester, renewable for up to five semesters, $15,000 total.

Bellarmine Scholarship is named after St. Robert Bellarmine, S.J., the patron saint of �鶹��ý��Ƶ��վ University and provides $1,800 per semester, renewable for up to five semesters, $9,000 total.

Loyola Scholarship is named for St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order, and provides $1,200 per semester, renewable for up to five semesters, $6,000 total.
